Vega Sicilia crafts Pintia from 100% Tinto de Toro (local Tempranillo) grown at 700m altitude on the banks of the Duero River in Toro D.O.. The 2020 vintage showcases a powerful year of concentration, with carefully controlled extraction to preserve freshness. Complex aromas of blackberries, graphite, sandalwood, cocoa powder, dark olives, and dried Mediterranean herbs emerge from the glass. The nose is broad, very clean, expressive and elegant with great fruity intensity and cherry red depth.

Opulent Yet Balanced Palate

The palate is round, fleshy and opulent, delivering concentrated black fruits, black cherry, mocha, licorice, cocoa, fennel and roasted dried fruits. Fresh-veined, chalky tannins with impressive volume tighten the palate, creating a nervy backbone and lengthy finish.

Expert Winemaking

Aged 11 months in barrels and amphorae with 30 months bottle rest, this Pintia is ripe yet fresh, drinking beautifully now through 2034.
