100% Chardonnay from 35-year-old vines just beside the Santenay 1er Cru La Maladière, this white ferments in barrel after a light settling of the must, undergoing malolactic fermentation before 14 months' aging on fine lees. Estate notes describe great precision and elegance on the nose.
Citrus, floral and mineral notes lead a straight, precise palate, with nice acidity and a tense, elegant finish. Girardin's signature Côte de Beaune restraint on full display.
