Château Palmer 2005

The 2005 vintage is remembered for its historic drought, occurring for the first time since 1976.

Although the flowering period went well at the beginning of June, the summer period was marked by an exceptional drought which stopped the growth of the vineyard prematurely. The estate’s teams increased their efforts to ensure that the grapes received optimum nutrition. The small size of the grapes means that they are highly concentrated and thus guarantee to boast a high quality. Harvesting began on 22 September, enabling the harvest of aromatic grapes with powerful and velvety tannins.
