Founded in 1998 by the visionary Pier Luigi, Tolaini stands as a testament to the rich heritage and artistry of Tuscan winemaking. With over 120 hectares of land, 40 of them planted with vineyards, Tolaini Estate is dedicated to sustainable viticulture and the cultivation of traditional Tuscan grape varieties, alongside international grapes.
Initially, Pier Luigi attracted enologist Michel Rolland, to consult with Tolaini Estate. Together they have formed a team of four young exceptional enologists / agronomists with experience in varied wine regions as well as in other countries. Nowadays Luca D’Attoma is the consulting oenologist and his hand is apparent starting with the 2017 vintage of Tolaini. Luca is responsible for projects with wineries such as Duemani, Tua Rita, Poggio ao Tesoro, among others. In the vineyards Ruggero Mazzilli is Tolaini’s consulting agronomist who’s in charge of the organic conversion of the vineyards and development of sustainable environmental practices.
