怡園 Grace Vineyard

Steady, Pioneering Pillar of Chinese Wines

Grace Vineyard was established by Chan Chun Kwong, a Hong Kong businessman, in Taigu, Shanxi Province in 1997. This was a bold and unconventional choice at the time, far from the then-unknown regions of Ningxia or Yunnan. The venture was truly a leap of faith into the potential of Chinese terroir. The original and primary estate is located on the Loess Plateau in Shanxi. The region has a continental climate with four distinct seasons. And then Grace Vineyard expanded in 2009 by acquiring a second estate in Xixia County, Ningxia. Their style is heavily influenced by Bordeaux and they were one of the first Chinese wineries to seriously focus on estate-grown grapes, controlled yields, and modern winemaking techniques to ensure quality from the vineyard to the bottle.
