Product Description
Antolini Ca' Coato Amarone della Valpolicella 2020 is a distinguished expression from Italy's Valpolicella Classico region, crafted by the esteemed Antolini family in Marano di Valpolicella. This wine is produced from hand-selected Corvina, Corvinone, and Rondinella grapes from the estate's prized Ca' Coato vineyard in Negrar, a site celebrated for producing profound, age-worthy Amarone. At 17% alcohol, this powerful wine showcases the intensity achieved through traditional appassimento.
Traditional Appassimento & Multi-Wood Aging
Following the centuries-old appassimento method, grapes are carefully dried for approximately four months on straw mats in dedicated drying rooms, concentrating natural sugars and aromatics. The wine then ages 12 months in a unique combination of oak, mulberry, chestnut, and cherry wood barrels, followed by six months' bottle refinement.
Complex Dried Fruit & Velvety Power
Intense and complex on the nose with blackberries, cherries, cinnamon, liquorice, coffee, chocolate, tobacco, and dried prunes. The palate is warm, velvety, and supple with fine tannins and rich, concentrated flavors echoing the aromatic profile with exceptional persistence.
