The estate is a partnership between vintner John Schwartz and Heidi Peterson Barrett – Former winemaker of Dalla Valle Vineyards and Screaming Eagle and one of America’s foremost winemakers. Au Sommet means “at the top” in French, referring that the estate vineyard’s lofty elevation high on the slopes of Atlas Peak (2,100 feet) and also to the high standard of excellence they set for themselves.
