From one of the Barossa's most coveted producers, Sami-Odi sources this Syrah from the Hoffmann Dallwitz vineyard — vines dating to 1888 — aged 76 weeks in Burgundian pièces, bottled unfined and unfiltered via gravity. Scoring a remarkable 98 from Robert Parker, it is widely regarded as a benchmark Barossa Syrah, opening with black fruit, asphalt, star anise, and summer raspberry.
The palate is concentrated and intense — gravelly, long, and precise, with remarkable levity and balance for its 15.2% alcohol.
