Sourced from New Zealand's Gibbston Valley—the world's most southerly Central Otago vineyard—Blank Canvas' Anthem Pinot Noir 2019 is wild-fermented with 50% whole-cluster inclusion and aged in low-toast oak, then bottled unfiltered. The nose opens with pressed roses, cherry flesh and wormwood, layering woody herbs and spice.
Rebecca Gibb MW calls it "mysterious and brooding, luring you into a labyrinth of flavours and textures," while Bob Campbell MW praises its "high energy" and "seamless texture". The palate is chalky and finely tannic, finishing long with strawberry, red apple and spice.
