Unique Terroir Expression

What sets Sangreal apart is its singular soil composition—bluestone overlaying limestone with red ironstone surface, dramatically different from the estate's black volcanic soils. North-south vine rows receive full sun exposure throughout the day, creating the estate's most perfumed and elegant expression. The clones 114 and 115 have mutated over time to become the distinctive 'Sangreal clone,' thriving in its own microclimate.

Meticulous Craftsmanship

Crafted with 70% whole bunch fermentation and aged in 70% new French oak for 18 months, this red wine remains unfined and unfiltered to preserve its natural character. Leading critic Huon Hooke awarded 96 points, praising its "dusty peppery, celery salt bouquet" with "talcy tannins and a lovely clean, resolved finish that rolls on and on".
