Carrick Wines
Pioneers of Organic & Sustainable Winemaking in Bannockburn, Central Otago
Founded in 1994 by Barbara and Steve Green, Carrick Wines began as a bold vision on a rabbit-infested block in Bannockburn, Central Otago. Through decades of dedication, they transformed the land into a sustainable vineyard, embracing organic practices and achieving full organic certification in 2011.
Today, Alison and Tony Cleland proudly steward Carrick, continuing its legacy of handcrafted, terroir-driven wines. Since joining in 2018, winemaker Rosie Menzies has elevated the estate’s reputation, playing a key role in securing Bannockburn’s Geographical Indication (GI) status in 2022—a testament to the region’s unique viticultural identity.
