The Domaine Génot-Boulanger is located in the commune of Meursault, in Burgundy. The estate has 22 hectares of vines on some of Burgundy's finest terroirs: Corton-Charlemagne, Meursault-Bouchères, Puligny-Folatières, Clos de Vougeot, etc. The estate was founded in 1974 by Charles-Henri Génot and his wife Marie, née Boulanger. The second generation, led by their daughter, extended the vineyard in the Côte de Nuits with new acquisitions in three Grands Crus. In 2008, the vineyard was taken over by Aude and Guillaume Lavollée. The couple's approach to quality focuses on working the vines, and more particularly on the life of the soil (organic amendments, ploughing, etc.), followed by a new, less interventionist approach to winemaking. Aude and Guillaume Lavollée are constantly experimenting, closely studying the benefits of biodynamic viticulture and, strengthened by their convictions, have decided to commit the estate to viticulture that respects nature and the soil. Domaine Génot-Boulanger has been certified organic since 2018.
