With an impressive background spanning 50 vintages across diverse wine regions worldwide, Matt has established himself as a leading figure in international winemaking. Since 1994, he has collaborated with David Gleave and has played a key advisory role with various wineries in the Liberty Wines portfolio, bringing invaluable expertise to each project.

Sophie Parker-Thomson's Journey

Sophie transitioned from a successful legal career to the world of wine, earning her Master of Wine designation along the way. She has been collaborating with Matt since 2011, frequently traveling throughout Europe to deepen her understanding of international wine traditions. These journeys and insights serve as the cornerstone of their shared endeavor with Blank Canvas, informing their approach to crafting distinctive New Zealand wines.
