In 1963, Georges Delille acquired what would later be known as Domaine de Terrebrune, a picturesque estate in Ollioules, just east of Bandol. Nestled between the Mediterranean Sea and the Gros-Cerveau (Big Brain) mountain, the property is surrounded by olive groves and breathtaking views. Following the 1941 declaration of A.O.C. Bandol, the region saw a resurgence of interest in cultivating the noble Mourvèdre grape, prompting significant vineyard restoration. Georges dedicated ten years to rejuvenating the estate, terracing the hillsides and replanting the vineyards under the guidance of Lucien Peyraud. In 1980, his son Reynald joined the effort, and together they released the first bottled vintage of Domaine de Terrebrune, named by Reynald in tribute to the rich, brown soils that define their vineyards.
