Domaine Jamet

Côte-Rôtie at its finest

Domaine Jamet is a benchmark producer in Côte-Rôtie, representing three generations of meticulous winemaking since Joseph Jamet's founding in 1950. Now led by Jean-Paul Jamet and his son Loïc, this legendary Northern Rhône estate farms 8.5 hectares across 25 parcels in 17 distinct lieux-dits, including prime holdings in La Landonne, Côte Brune, and Côte Blonde.

What sets Domaine Jamet apart is their uncompromising traditionalist approach: whole cluster fermentation with stems intact, minimal new oak (15%), and extended aging up to 22 months in demi-muids. Their vineyards feature vines dating back to the 1940s on steep, terraced slopes with granite, schist, and iron-rich soils that deliver remarkable complexity.

Critics consistently rank Jamet among Côte-Rôtie's finest, with Wine Spectator calling it "Côte-Rôtie at its finest." These are profound, age-worthy Rhône wines showcasing silky texture, haunting perfume, and exceptional balance - quintessential expressions of Northern Rhône terroir crafted by one of the appellation's most respected families.
