Tasting Profile
This fully mature Taurasi displays complex aromas of dried violets, tobacco, leather, and dark fruit compote with hints of tar and spice. The palate reveals concentrated flavors of black cherry, plum, licorice, and Mediterranean herbs, supported by well-integrated tannins and bright acidity. The finish is long and persistent, showcasing tertiary development with notes of forest floor and truffle.
Winemaking Tradition
Traditional vinification includes extended maceration and aging in large neutral oak casks, allowing the pure expression of Aglianico character. The 2008 vintage benefited from ideal growing conditions, producing wines of exceptional concentration and structure.
