Product Description

Les Quatre Piliers Première Cuvée Pineau d'Aunis 2022 showcases one of the Loire's rarest indigenous grapes, with only 400 hectares remaining in Touraine. Crafted by rising star Valentin Desloges (trained under Coche-Dury in Burgundy), this wine comes from 50+ year-old Pineau d'Aunis vines planted in clay-sand soils over ancient Turonian limestone on the Cher River's right bank. Limited to just 1,800 bottles, this cuvée has already gained cult status at three-Michelin-starred Troisgros.

Artisan Barrel Craft & Minimal Intervention

Macerated for 9 days before fermenting in 100% homemade French oak barrels (10% new), which Valentin personally crafts from oak he selects and ages. Aged 12 months with a single racking, bottled unfined and unfiltered by gravity with minimal sulfur.

White Pepper & Wild Strawberry Elegance

The light ruby color opens to enticing aromas of wild strawberry, white pepper, violets, and subtle smoke—characteristic of this rare varietal. Fresh and fruity on the palate with Gamay-like aromatics but the structure of light Burgundy, delivering spiced elegance at just 11% alcohol.
