This Savage Chenin Blanc is made from 100% Chenin Blanc. The vines were planted in 1956, grow without irrigation and sit on granite soil. Only the best bunches are picked, then fermented naturally in older oak barrels and aged 10 months, which adds texture without an oaky taste. Expect pineapple, apple and oatmeal, with a fresh, dry finish and a hint of saltiness.
Serve it lightly chilled with roast chicken, grilled prawns or creamy pasta. It suits white wine drinkers who want something richer than a crisp, light white.
