As the inaugural vintage from Domaine de Long Dai, the 2017 release marks DBR Lafite's groundbreaking foray into China's Shandong Peninsula. This historic blend of Cabernet Sauvignon (50-56%), Marselan (20-25%), and Cabernet Franc (20-25%) hails from the estate's 30-hectare granite vineyards (planted in 2011) in Qiu Shan Valley, with only 2,500 cases produced.
Winemaking Legacy
Crafted in true Bordeaux tradition, each varietal underwent separate fermentation before blending, followed by 18 months aging in French oak barrels (predominantly from Pauillac). As a collector's item, every bottle features NFC anti-counterfeit technology.
Tasting Profile
Deep ruby in color, the wine reveals concentrated aromas of black cherry, blackberry, and vanilla, layered with liquorice root, mint, and subtle herbal notes. The palate shows remarkable structure with velvety tannins and pronounced minerality, finishing with elegant herbal complexity. While already demonstrating classic Bordeaux finesse, optimal drinking window is projected between 2025-2038.
Historical Significance
