The domaine's history dates back to 1992 when Thierry Mortet inherited 4 hectares of vines from Domaine Charles Mortet. Over time, his holdings expanded to 7.3 hectares, with 6 hectares devoted to red grapes and 1.3 hectares to white. Prestigious appellations like Gevrey and Chambolle occupy 4.36 hectares, while smaller areas include Marsannay Blanc and regional wines like Bourgogne Rouge and Blanc. The terroir features clay-limestone, white marl, lava rock, and gravel, influencing the wines' unique character. The cellar is equipped with modern facilities, with 20-50% new oak used in aging, selected carefully for harmony with the vines. Traditional vineyard practices include minimal intervention, regular plowing, and meticulous pruning. Certified organic since 2010, Thierry's commitment to organic farming preserves the environment and reflects the terroir's authentic character in the wines.
