Perched on the rugged slopes of Gibbston, often called the “Heart of Pinot Noir,” Valli is a benchmark producer in Central Otago, New Zealand. Founded by acclaimed winemaker Grant Taylor—the first non-Burgundian to win the prestigious Pinot Noir Trophy at the International Wine Challenge—Valli is dedicated to showcasing the distinct character of individual sub-regions. Rather than blending sites, they produce separate wines from Gibbston, Bannockburn, Bendigo, and Waitaki, highlighting dramatic differences in schist, loess, and clay soils.
