Founded in 2005 by husband-and-wife team Konstantin Weiser and Alexandra Künstler, this estate farms some of the Mosel's most precious old ungrafted vines—over 80% of their plantings are more than a century old—on steep blue slate slopes, certified organic and worked entirely by hand. Their wines are precise, mineral-driven expressions of terroir, celebrated for their purity, elegance and quiet intensity.
Mosel Fine Wine Review praises: "These are consistently among the top wines produced anywhere in the Mosel... Savvy readers should plunge on these wines." Production is painfully small, making them cult treasures among collectors.
The wines are defined by vibrant acidity, saline minerality and crystalline fruit—citrus, white peach, herbs and crushed slate. Spontaneously fermented in traditional Fuder barrels and raised on fine lees, they capture the profound depth of ancient vines with remarkable transparency and age-worthiness.
