From Mayschoss on the Ahr, Marc Josten's pinot noir is hand-harvested from 30-year-old slate vines, spontaneously fermented, then aged 18 months in used French oak barriques — unfiltered and bottled with precision.
- Nose: Strawberry, sour cherry, cranberry, subtle clove, and a lifted floral-herbaceous elegance
- Palate: Juicy and silky — red and dark fruit, cigar box, fine tannins, and stony slate minerality
- Finish: Clean and persistent — dark spice, leather, and a mouthwatering saline, slate-driven thread
