Product Description
From the Mönchberg Grand Cru in Mayschoss on the Ahr, Marc Josten hand-harvests this pinot noir from low-yield, slate-rooted vines, fermenting spontaneously before 18–24 months ageing in French oak barriques — unfiltered, with aristocratic ambition.
- Nose: Ripe cherry, dark forest fruit, licorice, graphite, and a cedar-spice elegance — deeply complex
- Palate: Beautifully layered — black cherry, slate minerality, silky tannins, and a poised, fine-grained structure
- Finish: Long, aristocratic, and saline — dark spice, tobacco, and a persistent stony mineral thread
