Markus Molitor Brauneberger Klostergarten*** Pinot Noir 2018
Origin
Country: Germany
Region and Appellation: Mosel
Product Description
Markus Molitor's Brauneberger Klostergarten*** Pinot Noir 2018 is grown on slate-and-clay slopes typically reserved for the estate's finest Rieslings—rare terroir for German Pinot Noir. Hand-harvested fruit undergoes spontaneous fermentation, then ages 15 months in new French barriques.
Wine Advocate calls it a "pure, refined and finely toasty" Pinot Noir "with great finesse and elegance." Black currant, violet and dark fruit lead to a silky, powerful, concentrated palate with real depth and a long, perfumed finish.
