Founded in 2013 by brothers Carlo and Dante Mondavi, raen crafts this Sonoma Coast cuvée from cool, fog-swept coastal vineyards, honoring their grandfather Robert with meticulous, terroir-focused winemaking.
The nose opens with opulent rose petals, wild strawberry and savory herbs, layered with red cherry and blood orange marmalade. Vinous notes, "deeply pitched spice notes, blood orange, new leather, cedar and sweet pipe tobacco meld into a core of sweet red cherry fruit," closing on a long, youthful, spice-lifted finish.
