Earning 96 pts from James Suckling, 95 pts from Wine Advocate, and 94 pts from Halliday Wine Companion, this 76% Barossa and 24% Eden Valley blend draws from 50-year-old vines, aged 18 months in French oak (25% new) for seamless depth and structure.
Opaque with a dark aubergine core, it opens with blueberry, mulberry, blackberry, graphite, sandalwood, and dark cocoa. The palate is plush and welcoming — lush dark fruit, velvety tannins, licorice, and a long, earthy, spiced finish. Built to age 20 years yet irresistible now. A benchmark Torbreck wine.
