Nathalie Falmet
Nathalie Falmet runs Champagne Nathalie Falmet, a small estate of just 3.4 hectares in Rouvres-les-Vignes, Aube. After studying Chemistry and Oenology, she took over the family domaine in the early 1990s. One of the few women in Champagne with both titles, she oversees all aspects of production and marketing. Her vines are sustainably cultivated on clay limestone soil. She employs various winemaking techniques and vessels, including amphorae, steel vats, and 350L casks, to bring out the purest expression of each cuvée from different parcels. Production is artisanal, yielding 30,000 bottles annually, featuring unique vintage and multi-vintage wines. Nathalie believes in the inseparability of the winemaker from the wine, and her Champagnes appeal to oenophiles who appreciate her multi-dimensional approach.
