Product Description
Late-harvested grapes from the Muritai Vineyard in Marlborough’s Blind River district shape Blank Canvas Meta Riesling 2025. Its name refers to the transformation caused by noble rot, which shrivels the berries and concentrates their sugars. Fermentation stops naturally, leaving this riesling distinctly sweet.
Cameron Douglas MS describes “a distinctive bouquet of honeyed stone fruits and citrus peel preserve, there’s a spice layer suggesting baking spices then lees and whipped caramel.” He adds: “Delicious, creamy and intense flavours that mirror the bouquet, high acidity and concentration.”
- Style: Lusciously sweet and creamy, balanced by high acidity.
- Tasting notes: Honeyed stone fruit, citrus peel preserve, baking spices and caramel.
- 94 pts — Cameron Douglas MS.
