Product Description
Les Quatre Piliers Bel-Air Sauvignon Blanc 2022 earned an outstanding 95+ points from Wine Advocate, who praised it as "lovely, wafting from the glass with aromas of menthol, white fruits, confit citrus, honey". This flagship cuvée from rising star Valentin Desloges (trained under Coche-Dury) comes from 60-year-old Sauvignon Blanc vines on the left bank of the Cher River, where red clay soils beneath flinty sands create exceptional intensity and textural breadth.
Bettane+Desseauve called it "a masterstroke"—this is among the Loire's most exciting Sauvignons.
Burgundian Oak Mastery & Extended Aging
Fermented and aged 24 months in ex-Coche-Dury barrels with 20% new oak crafted from Loches forest wood that Valentin personally selects and dries. Bottled unfiltered with minimal sulfites after indigenous yeast fermentation.
Crystalline Fruit & Rock-Licking Minerality
The deep golden robe reveals powerful aromas of confit citrus, pineapple, elderflower, and menthol. On the palate, this superstar Sauvignon delivers crystalline fruit intensity, mouth-filling texture, and smoky, rock-licking minerality with hints of Pur Sang. Fresh timber notes frame a saline, persistent finish. Decant 45 minutes; serve at 14°C for the best enjoyment.
