At Champagne Alfred Gratien, every champagne is crafted manually, upholding the highest standards of quality. The tradition of using oak barrels for vinification has been in place since the house was founded, making Alfred Gratien one of the few estates, alongside Krug, that vinify and age all their wines in barrels.
Cuvée Paradis, their Têtes de Cuvée, is made exclusively from Grand Cru grapes, comprising 66% Chardonnay and 30% Pinot Noir. Fermented in oak barrels, the gradual oxygen ingress enhances the wine's richness and texture, akin to the renowned Krug Grande Cuvée. Additionally, the estate intentionally avoids Malolactic Fermentation, resulting in a distinctive acidity that is rarely found on the market.
