Comte Lafon's Mâconnais venture brings legendary Meursault expertise to this 1.8-hectare, high-altitude vineyard at 200m elevation. The 2023 vintage earned 90 points from Neal Martin, showcasing a slightly austere yet well-defined bouquet with light sea spray notes. Crafted from 30+ year-old biodynamically farmed Chardonnay vines on shallow clay and white limestone soils, this wine reveals lemon, white peach, tangerine, and subtle lychee from Chardonnay musqué clones. The palate is nicely balanced with pear, light pineapple tones, satisfying weight, and touches of peach on the finish. Juicy, concentrated, and focused with gentle minerality and fine saline entry.
Pure Expression
Aged in stainless steel tanks, foudres, or 500L semi-muids without new oak, preserving fruit purity and freshness. Drink now through 2028.
