Domaine Schloss Vollrads Schlossberg Riesling Trocken GG 2020 represents the pinnacle of Schloss Vollrads Riesling from this historic 800+ year-old Rheingau estate. This Grosses Gewächs sources 100% Riesling from the vineyard, where Taunus quartzite and loess soils create exceptional mineral-driven character. The wine undergoes extended maceration with partial fermentation on the skins, followed by long lees aging and fermentation/maturation primarily in large Austrian and German oak casks (1200L), building powerful structure with elegant integration. At 13% alcohol with just 1.5 g/l residual sugar and 7.2 g/l acidity, the 2020 delivers remarkable balance.
