Scoring 96 pts at the 2025 Decanter World Wine Awards, Sons of Eden Romulus is a benchmark expression of old vine Barossa Shiraz, sourced from dry-grown vines exceeding 50 years in the Light Pass and Menglers Hill sub-regions. Hand-harvested fruit was destemmed, fermented in small open-top vats, and matured unracked for 18 months in 45% new French oak hogsheads, bottled without filtration. An explosion of blackberry compote, crushed violets, dark chocolate and plum cake leads to glossy, velvety tannins and a supple mocha finish. Powerful, complex and built to cellar, optimum drinking from 2035.
