This wine is crafted from eight vineyards, utilizing 25 distinct pickings. The Swartland's warm climate and diurnal shifts shape its character. The grapes were whole bunch pressed, naturally fermented, and matured for 11 months in neutral French oak barrels and 20% concrete. From Certified Heritage Vineyards (CHV), it aged 9 months in the bottle before release.
The nose is expressive, with mineral-driven notes of struck flint. The palate is elegant, light, bright, clean, and balanced. It is beautiful and more accessible at a young age than the single vineyard Chenin’s, despite its significant acidity.
