The history of this family-owned winery managed by Giuseppe Bianchini dates
back to 1877 when the estate purchased the “Palazzo” (palace) in the South of
Montalcino to vinify and age its highly regarded wines. The jewel of the estate
is undoubtedly the Pianrosso vineyard covering 12 hectares in the South West
of the Montalcino hill yielding small crops of rich and concentrated berries. The
Brunello is then aged in oak barrels for 36 months before 8 months of bottle
aging. Favius is a unique wine made out of 100% Syrah vines.
