François Lumpp Winery spans 9.5 hectares of vineyards, predominantly classified as premier cru. Of this, 6.5 hectares are planted with Pinot Noir and the rest with Chardonnay. The winery showcases the exceptional terroir of Givry village, producing wines that rival the finest in the Côte d'Or. Currently, the estate is managed by François’ children, Pierre and Anne-Cécile Lumpp.

Using 100% organic farming practices, hand harvesting, and limited yields, they ensure excellent concentration and ripeness. The winemaking involves predominantly one to two-year-old oak barrels, with some new wood, maturing the wines for 12 to 18 months. The red wines feature concentrated red berry flavors and floral notes, along with refreshing herbal and mineral undertones, while the whites are aromatic and juicy with distinct mineral qualities.

Wine master Tim Atkin described François Lumpp as "the best producer in Givry," with wines that would fetch double the price if they were from the Côte d'Or. This remarkable quality at reasonable prices has earned high acclaim from Burgundy expert Allen Meadows. The winery excels with low yields and high quality, establishing itself as a standout in the Chalonnaise region.
