La Grange Tiphaine
The Clef de Sol in Loire
The domaine is a long-time family affair: it was created at the end of the 19th century by Alfonse Delecheneau as a traditional polyculture with crop and livestock. Damien, the 5th generation, took over in 2002 at only 22 years old and immediately started the progressive transition towards organic viticulture. He has been trained in Chablis at the Laroche Estate, in St Estèphe at the Lafon-Rochet Estate, then in Napa Valley at Clos Pégase. Grange means barn in French, and Tiphaine is the traditional name of the place where the winery is located.
