Domaine Nicolas Rossignol Volnay 1er Cru Mitans 2019 comes from a clay-rich site below Clos des Angles. Only the second vintage of this separate cuvée, this Pinot Noir was fully destemmed and matured with 15% new oak.
Allen Meadows of Burghound describes: “A cool, pure and extremely pretty nose freely offers up its array of violet, rose petal, spice and mix of red cherry and dark raspberry scents.” His review also highlights a delicate mouthfeel and subtle minerality.
