Micro-Négoce Champagne from the Vallée de la Marne
Écume Champagne is a micro-négoce project born in 2024 from the vision of Jean-François Gamet, a winemaker driven by curiosity and a passion for terroir-driven expression. Operating from a tiny, reclaimed family cellar perched at the top of Fleury-la-Rivière in the Vallée de la Marne, Écume represents a modern "Champagne de garage" philosophy—artisanal, precise, and fiercely independent.
Working exclusively with organically farmed grapes sourced from trusted grower friends in villages like Mardeuil and Chamery 1er Cru, Gamet produces tiny quantities of incredibly vinous and complex wines. His winemaking approach is defined by minimal intervention: native yeast fermentations in barrel or glass demijohns, full malolactic conversion, very low sulfur additions, zero dosage, and no fining or filtration. The result is a range of vibrant, unmanipulated Champagnes that emphasize authenticity, terroir, and purity.
