The 50-year-old vines thrive in Santenots' clay-rich soil, distinct from most of Volnay, yielding wines with remarkable full body and rich texture.
The wine boasts a deep, solid purple color. The fruit is fully ripe, presenting a slightly squashed character without tasting cooked. On the palate, it retains balance, featuring minimal evident tannins and good length. With moderate acidity, this wine promises to develop well in the medium term, exhibiting just a hint of tannin on the finish.
