The 2022 Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru has quite a strict bouquet that refuses to come out to play despite rigorous swirling. Maybe because it was a dull Monday morning? The palate is much more open for business: very harmonious, the 30% new oak neatly assimilated, showing touches of citrus fruit, baked popcorn and almond. There is a fine build in the mouth that lingers long after the wine has departed. Afford this 3-5 years in bottle so the aromatics can open. 92-94/100 Neal Martin, Vinous
