Kistler is a family-owned, single-vineyard focused winery in Sonoma County, California, renowned for producing some of America's most celebrated, age-worthy, and collectible Chardonnays. Kistler's fame rests on its Chardonnay, though its Pinot Noir is also highly esteemed. Their Chardonnay style is one of power with precision, intensity with finesse. Fermented and aged in French oak barrels (with a significant portion new), but the oak is seamlessly integrated, supporting the fruit rather than dominating it which produces full-bodied and dense body, yet strikingly mineral and energetic with vibrant acidity. A defining feature of Kistler is its single-vineyard bottlings. Each wine is a distinct expression of a specific site.
