Luigi Oddero

Since 1878, the Oddero family has been an emblem of tradition and high - quality Nebbiolo wines sourced from the premier vineyards of the Langhe region. In 1951, brothers Giacomo and Luigi Oddero initiated the bottling of their family's wines.
For five decades, Luigi dedicated himself passionately to tending the vineyards and crafting the wines, with Giacomo handling the front-of-house operations. However, in 2006, Luigi had to depart from the family domaine in La Morra and establish his own label. He took his wife Lena, their young children Giovanni and Maria, along with 32 hectares of prime vineyards.
After Luigi's passing in 2009, Lena Oddero assumed the management of the estate. She is ably assisted by her loyal team, including Gregorio, the winemaker, and Alberto Zaccarelli, in charge of sales. Dante Scaglione, an oenologist from Bruno Giacosa, now provides consulting services. Moreover, Francesco Versio, who previously worked at Bruno Giacosa, has recently joined the team as the cellarmaster.
The wines are produced with traditional methods and great respect. They are aged in large Gamba oak casks and are made from grapes grown in the villages of Barbaresco, La Morra, Castiglione Falletto, and Serralunga d’Alba.
