Sourced from 60+ year-old Syrah vines planted on granite slopes with clay-loamy bands at 250 meters altitude, this south-southeast-facing parcel delivers remarkable density with elegant finesse. The wine undergoes 100% destemming with one month of maceration in raw concrete tanks, followed by 12 months aging in used demi-muids and another 12 months in diamond-shaped concrete vessels. David Reynaud converted the family estate to biodynamics in 2005, crafting wines of increasing precision and complexity.

Tasting Profile

The wine opens with intense black fruit, blueberries, dark blackberry, black olive, violets, cracked pepper, smoked earth, and graphite aromatics. Dense and firm-textured with serious concentration, the full-bodied palate marries Cornas power with Reynaud's signature finesse. Very smooth tannins emerge after decanting, leading to a jammy finish with remarkable aging potential from 2025-2034.
