The Himmelreich surrounds the Grand Cru Dompropst vineyard, benefiting from excellent southwestern exposure and fertile alluvial deposits from ancient Mosel River flows.
Distinctive Grey Slate Terroir
This dry-style Kabinett showcases grey slate soils enriched with clay and mineral deposits that create vigorous, mouth-filling wines with luscious mineral complexity. The 80-100 year old, ungrafted vines root directly at the top of the Himmelreich site, where weathered blue-grey slate imparts characteristic flinty minerality.
