Castello di Ama Chianti Classico AMA 2022 is a 96% Sangiovese, 4% Merlot Italy red from vineyards 460–520 metres above sea level. Each variety ferments separately in stainless steel with indigenous yeasts, then matures 12 months in second-passage barriques for balanced complexity.
John Szabo MS notes “pure fresh fruit, lightly smoky and spicy,” with red cherry and cherry stone flavours over a stony, acid-rich frame. Violet, redcurrant and polished tannins complete this vibrant Chianti.
