產地
產地:意大利
產區:Piemonte
產品描述
From the historic Cavallotto estate in Castiglione Falletto, this Barolo Riserva represents the pinnacle of Piedmontese winemaking. Sourced from the acclaimed Bricco Boschis cru, the 2010 vintage is considered a modern classic, showcasing Nebbiolo's elegance and power.
Tasting Profile
A brilliant garnet hue introduces an intoxicating bouquet of rose petals, wild cherry, and leather, with subtle notes of tar, licorice, and balsamic. The palate is structured yet refined, offering layers of red fruit, tobacco, and spice, supported by sweet, mature tannins and vibrant acidity. The finish is long and mineral-driven, with a touch of saline complexity.
Winemaking & Terroir
- 100% Nebbiolo from 60+ year-old vines in calcareous-clay soils
- 30-35 day maceration with indigenous yeasts for optimal extraction
- 36-42 months aging in large Slavonian oak botti (20-100hl)
- 6+ years bottle aging before release
Vintage Character
The cool 2010 growing season allowed slow ripening, resulting in exceptional balance. While approachable now, this Riserva will continue evolving through 2040+.
Why This Stands Out
As one of only a handful of producers still using traditional Slavonian botti, Cavallotto achieves remarkable terroir transparency while maintaining the vintage's signature "sinewy structure".
