Hartford Court Four Hearts Vineyard Chardonnay 2020 comes mostly from 45-year-old Wente-clone vines in the Laguna Ridge neighborhood of Russian River Valley, a cooler counterpart to Chardonnay-producing regions like Napa Valley. It's 100% Chardonnay, barrel-fermented and matured for 11 months in 35% new French oak.
Jasmine, white peach, ginger and roasted almond lead the nose, with lemon cream and baking spice underneath. The medium-bodied palate combines concentrated fruit with tangy, focused acidity, a satiny texture and flinty character, finishing very long and layered.
