Founded in 1854 in Wintzenheim, Josmeyer has practised Demeter-certified biodynamic farming since 2004. Le Fromenteau 2020 is sourced from 40-year-old Pinot Gris vines on alluvial gravel soils, whole-cluster pressed for six hours and fermented spontaneously in century-old oak foudres. Scoring 91 points from Vinous and admired for its precision and gastronomic versatility, this pinot gris wine opens with ripe pear, honeysuckle, and baked apple.
The palate is rich yet taut — textural stone fruit, cinnamon spice, and a long, mineral finish. Drink through 2027.
